I'm a firm believer that life and people will pass you by if you allow this by your own neglect. And that's what happened - I missed some of the moments and conversations that were pivotal. In the last month even though there were plenty of joyous updates as mentioned, I also was informed of friends on unemployment, impending lay-offs, underemployed, break-ups, a number of friends entering rehab, ailments, and a variety of issues that test character. All of this reminded me that nothing and no one should be taken for granted.
